      Hi Fazwilliams,

No, the work i do does not help protect the environment. I am very interested in protecting our worls though and outside of work I make sure I do my best to recycle, switch off electrical items and lights when I’m not using them and I try and walk as much as I can to avoid using cars.

Thanks for your question fazwilliams. I can’t really see of any way that stem cells could be used to protect the environment but the others might have some good ideas.
I think other scientific areas like carbon management and nuclear power will probably have more affect on the environment than stem cells will.

      Hi Faz

My research is more concerned with helping people- but i suppose it could lead to saving the lives of people who then go on to be environmentalists! So in that way it could help!! 😉

      Hi Faz,
my work won’t directly help protect the environment cos I’m looking for ways to speed up healing of broken bones. But perhaps if we can help environmentalists who’ve broken their bones get back on their feet, the we might have an indirect beneficial impact on the environment! =)
