      Hi iamme,
Well, you should vote for whoever you think deserves to win! Maybe to help you choose you should look at what we all would do with the money.
If I win, I would bring my stem cell workshop to yor school, and the money would help me buy the things I need to run the workshop. We play a few games showing how stem cells get made (which involve fried egg sweets) and then I would also bring stem cells to let you have a go at an experiment with stem cells. We also discuss the good and bad points of stem cell research.

I’d love to win, but you should vote for whoever you think deserves it most 🙂

Well, I hope you guys like the way I talk about science and the research that I do, and find it interesting! I feel that it’s really important to engage with people like yourselves because you are the next generation of budding scientists and I myself was inspired by people who took a genuine interest in students when I was sitting in your place. So if you vote for me, I will carry this on and hopefully help some of you guys get into science and enjoy it!

Hi iamme, I think you should vote for me because I have an idea for a really cool event based on stem cells – I want to look at slightly gory things like growing blood or meat in the lab. When I go and do schools visits I take along bags of fake blood to try and explain to people the sort of quantities of cells that go into a blood donation – the pupils normally love it!
A friend of mine knows a researcher who looks at portrayals of vampires in popular culture – so I would love to tie in the stem cell science with talking about how we view the human body and how certain tissues seem to be more ‘important’ to us than others.
Do you think that would be a good event?

      Hi iamme,

I think you should vote for whoever you’d like most!

But if you helped me win the money I’d like to get more resources together for when i visit primary school to talk to the pupils about stem cells and my research. At the moment I have to keep borrowing things from my nephew’s dressing up box to explain about immune cells etc! Speaking to primary school kids is great, I want them to understand how exciting science is and how useful it is in helping cure diseases, but at a level they understand.

What would you like seen done with the money iamme?
