      Hi themidget:
      answering quickly…
I use stem cells differently from most people. Most people talk about getting stem cells from an embryo or from an adult, and then get them to multiply in a flask in a lab and turn them into different cell types and stick them back in the body.

In my work, we think this is a very time consuming and expensive and painful way of doing things. We like simple. so what we are doing is finding out the chemical signals that make stem cells do the things we do.

So, in my research on bone healing, we find that if you inject the right chemicals where the broken bones are, you can get the stem cells that are ALREADY in the body to move towards the broken bits and turn into bone cells when they get there. This way, we don’t need to extract stem cells and all that malakee.

      what d’u reckon?
