      Hi Franno,
Well, as there are lots of different types of cancer, we need to find lots of different cures.
One of the most encouraging things in cancer research is that a lot of common childhood cancers are now cureable. In adults testicular cancer, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, thyroid cancer and many cases of leukaemia are also cureable.
New drugs are being discovered all the time but it takes time to test these to make sure they work and sadly some cancers are incredibly hard to treat, especially once they have spread to other parts of the body. Thats why its really important to catch cancer early, as its much easier to treat and hopefully cure.Lots of amazing discoveries in recent years have made cancers a lot more cureable, but we also need to make sure we look after our health to help prevent us getting cancer in the first place.
