Hi Helena,
Of course I enjoy my job!! I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t. I am the sort of person who gets bored really easily, so doing science suits perfectly. Everyday is new, everything you do is new, and everyday is totally different. Being a surgeon is also a great inspiration for me because I have an insight into how my research can help my patients and so I have a goal that I can aim for. I get to do loads of different things from chatting to patients, to working on stem cells in the lab, to operating on mice and also operating on humans, go on conferences, speak to other scientists about their ideas, travel to other labs and check out what they’re up to, and chat to you guys!! It’s brill and I wouldn’t swap it for anything.
