• Question: What is it about Breast Cancer that interests you to research cures and thing like that?

      Hi Abbie,
      Cancer is a horrible disease, 3 of my grandparents have died of cancer and a lot of other people in my family including my dad have had cancer (thankfully my dad is ok now). I think that it will be a long time until a cure for all cancers but research is helping all the time to improve treatments and improve people’s survival.

      I didnt really choose to work on breast cancer, but I have always been interested in cancer stem cells, and the work that I do fits with breast cancer research, so hopefully it will do some good!! Breast cancer is a major killer of women in the UK, but survival rates are getting better every year as new treatments are found.
